Lets play a game! Name that Morph!

I am a newbie looking for a snake, I found 6 snakes at a "Big Box Store".

I took pictures of the ones they had but I know nothing about morphs, especially as hatchlings...

All of these are 10 to 12 inches long and under $40.

So lets play a game, name that morph!

This will help me so I can look up the adult colors and pick one I want.

Thank you!

I am really after a Fire Motley, a Sunglow Motley or a Hypo Motley... but I doubt any of these are one of those. Id still like to know ;)

None of those appears to be a fire motley. I suggest that you just pony up the cash and get a fire motley from a breeder. You'll be much happier in the long run.

I would guess though that
1-amel
2-classic
3-hypo (hard to see the snake though)
4 anery
5 amel
6 snow

#2 looks like it will be a fairly nice Miami phase.

Before you buy from a box store, please consider buying from a private breeder. You can get virtually any morph you want, and you will know the snake is feeding and healthy. Shipping a snake is really no big deal. Even buying a snake sight unseen is not as hard as you think! Just ask lots of questions first.

Before you buy your new friend please consider the pros and cons of buying from a "big box" store.

Pros
You can walk out with your new pet RIGHT NOW!!!
Cheap price, and no shipping

Cons
Might have mites
Might not eat (might have never eaten in its life)
Probably came from a wholesale "backyard breeder" type of place
The animals sex will be a mystery
You will have no idea what the parents look like
You will be limited to amel, normal, hypo, anery and snow.

Now the pros and cons of buying from a breeder

Pros
Will be healthy, feeding and properly sexed.
Will be well cared for.
Will be able to see pics of the parents.
Will have over 50 or 60 different color morphs to choose from.
Will be supporting someone who loves and dedicates their lives to cornsnakes, not just anything they can sell to make money.

Cons
Will probably need to pay shipping unless you go to a local show.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I am in no rush, I just went into the store while shopping for my enclosure and wanted to see what snakes they had.

I have a post up on faunaclassifieds and I have been searching google for an Oklahoma City Cornsnake breeder to no avail.

I think it is a bit too hot here at the moment to ship a snake... but I am in no hurry either.

That normal has amasing saddles. Almost looks like it may want to turn into a buckskin "lookalike" okeetee. I have to admit that I'd probably get that one. XD
