Favorite Current TV Shows!

Now that The Bachelor is over (picked the wrong girl...) I'm going to watch Dancing With The Stars. I also want to watch Splash, but I'll be driving during the premiere...

Still no favorite for Amazing Race. Glad Brandon got kicked off Survivor. Now for Phillip...

So, we just got rid of Directv and went to Roku boxes. Great decision, so far. We've now been starting some long running shows, since we can stream on-demand and start at the beginning, rather than jumping in during the 5th season, or whatever.

Just now starting to watch the Walking Dead: Awesome! We love Dexter, so we hear that Breaking Bad will be good. My youngest and I are into Whale Wars, staying up late watching, and plotting ways to foil the whalers and their killing.

There is _so_ much on Netflix. Sons of Anarchy! Firefly!! You'l love Breaking Bad, although it isn't really anything like Dexter. Then there are so many random specialty shows , like Oddities, Best Food Ever, Freaky Eaters, Last American Cowboy, My Strange Addiction, 30 Days, Strange Sex, Nature's Deadliest, Deadly Dozen, I Shouldn't Have Survived. TONS of animal documentaries.

For current TV I'm watching Splash- it's okay. Dancing With the Stars- it's okay. Wife Swap, Undercover Boss, Shark Tank- good. Survivor- I love Survivor. Grey's Anatomy- I love it- but I feel like I missed a lot of last season and this season. In the eastern time zone, so much comes on at 10:00. I can't stay up that late- I have to be up at 5AM.

Thanks. We have Netfilx and Amazon Prime. Still finding new stuff every day. The plan was to reduce the budget; the result has been amazing. We've knocked $100 month off the budget, are watching a lot less tv, but more of what we actually want to watch, and with no commercials (for the most part).

Next is eliminating the unnecessary smartphones and reducing that outrageous bill. :smash:

Yup. We'll see how that goes. But honestly, I have been finding in recent years that after sitting and watching a three hour game, I feel that I've really just wasted that time, which I could have spent doing something productive. NFL will be on local channels (not my Packers, but there's always the sports bar).

Have you considered eliminating your home phone? I would, except that's how I get DSL. I'm out of cable range. (For Internet- I don't use it for TV).

So many shows turn awful. Dexter, Walking Dead, and Homeland come to mind as shows that were great for a season (or two in the case of Dexter) and then just became crap. On Walking Dead, outside of Glenn and Darryl, I root for the zombies now.

Breaking Bad is EXCELLENT. Also, my all time fave comedy, Arrested Development is coming back, but only on Netflix. Rent the old seasons, if you aren't hooked by the first episode, you should be on a terrorist watch list.

You have no idea how much I agree with you here Chip.

Hannibal just started and I love it!

We also started watching Bates Motel.
My wife is really into both of those shows. You might look into The Following if you haven't already, she loves that one too.

Myself, I'm currently digging hardcore on Arrow. Which is surprising since I didn't think it would be very good at all. My other current favorites include Big Bang Theory, Continuum (sadly on break), Dexter (over for the season :crying:), The Walking Dead (again over), and Elementary... Love me that Johnny Lee Miller!

I still watch Walking Dead even though it really doesn't hold a candle to the graphic novels. I still have my collection of them from college and have been loaning them out to folks.

Yah for dumping Brandon on Survivor!!!! Didn't like him and didn't like his uncle either. I go to bed early now that I am working days so watch survivor on the internet the next day. I also catch the apprentice on the net too. Geesh I have tried to start Breaking Bad three th=imes not cause everyone tells me how great it is and just stop watching it. I can't seem to get interested in it. I just watched season 5 of True Blood during the watchathon week on Comcast and missed the last episode argh....................

Amazing Race is preempted tonight for CMA awards- drat!! I still haven't picked a favorite. I kind of like the two girls.

Yeah... well, since the Asian girls got kicked out, I kinda like the two country singers too... Definitely wish it would have been an elimination round for the married couple... what shallow dweebs...
