Huddleston Miami Progression Thread

Jessicat

All Pied Everything
If this thread pops up it probably means these guys are fresh shed!

I guess I should have started this progression thread when I first got these guys, but I'm kinda lazy..
So some of these pictures you have probably seen before. I'm going to post them here, and then keep updating every time they shed.. or at least close to it. I've been bad lately, and the pictures I took of this pair yesterday are not quite fresh shed.. There's definitely a noticable difference in these guys in the short time I've had them though. The change is almost as amazing the change Bloodreds go though.

Progression of the pair of Miamis het Hypo and Motley from Carol Hudleston.

Pictures from when they first arrived in August

A month later they'd both shed, and I knew better than to take pictures of them on a white background. These arn't that much better.. but ..

Crappy in-the-tub October shots..
I'm kind embarrassed of these, but they're the only shots I have from October.

Pictures from November, they're really starting to look good. Mrs. Brisby is a picky eater though, and is not as big as Nimh.

Pictures from Today!

Mrs. Brisby is still behind in size, and she's not quite as fresh shed as Nimh. She's still recovering from being found by the cat a few months ago, so she's shedding a lot more frequently.

It looks like she has some frosting in her saddles, I can't wait for her to catch up to Nimh's size.

The little show stopper.. I always take too many pictures of him.

He is really agro though, and especially hates the camera..

Until next time.. ;)

It's funny, I remember thinking how amazing they were when they got here, but now looking back I realize they were actaully in their "ugly duckling" phase!

Nimh is just so photogenic, I realized that the red towel, which looks pink through the clear tub, was probably a bad choice as a background. He still looks good on it though!

Nanci, I'll ask Nimh how he feels about a road trip to Florida. We sure could use the bonding experience. He at least hasn't bitten me in awhile, but he still takes the strike position at me as soon as I take him out of his tub.

Have to say that Nimh is my favorite of the two :) I keep thinking I need to get myself one of those, but I keep resisting. Waiting for that Motley version to catch my eye... or maybe a stripe Miami :D

Long Overdue Update!

Yay, finally got a camera I can use (my dad's) until I get my battery and charger back.

Mrs. Brisby is fresh shed! Here are a few pictures of the lovely little lady.

Now just waiting for Nimh to shed! Here are a few pictures just for a little update even though he hasn't just shed. This camera doesn't pick up red quite as well as my Powershot does. The sun contributed to the orange look, AND sorry Carol, I photographed him on white!
Never the less..

These guys shed at some point in the last week.. I've been keeping myself pretty busy this summer, taking classes, so I haven't had a whole lot of free time to do things like photograph my snakes. I finally have a bit of an update though on these two.

I've been taking a pretty non - agressive feeding schedual with them. They're coming along nicely, but not monster sized or anything.

Nimh
Miami het Hypo and Motley

He's still got some spitfire left in him! He no longer strikes at me every time I take him out though thankfully!

Here are a few outdoor on the ground shots... they are pretty hard to get though. Nimh takes off the first chance he gets.

Something about the way Nimh moved through this tree made me think he'd have no problems living out in the wild. Not like that will ever happen, but he seemed so at home in the tree. He was not too happy about me trying to remove him from it!
Trying to get as far away from me as possible..

A few Cork Bark pictures.
I think his dark grey background will start to lighten up a little as he grows. I think he is beautiful, but I hope he does get a little more contrasty.

Is it weird to say that he kind of reminds me of striped stockings? ..And that if I was to find striped stockings in his color that I'd be very happy to wear them?!
