Here's the glorious result of my bidding war the past week. I honestly didn't think I'd win these guys, but some people just didn't have the nerve to hang with the big boys . . . :sidestep:

Of course, after winning the auction, politician Mohr ups the ante with an offer I couldn't refuse and tacks on an additional snake to make it a trio . . . crafty 'ole bugger.

I also see why he put them up for auction. Jeff Mohr breeds angry snakes!! :grin01: The male from this trio was NOT happy to move from SC to ND!!!

Thanks for looking,
D80

PS. I will say this for the man, he does pick out great snakes based on what you tell him your "likes" and "dislikes" are.

Normal Motley het Charcoal female: (She was just a tad bit grumpy, not near as angry as the male . . . not even close!!)

Boy, I know you got a steal but Jeff didn't have to step on that snake's head like that. :dgrin:
I had a hard time not bidding!

Brent I thought we told you NOT to pick on the little snakes! Geez!

Great looking group. Congrats! :)

but Jeff didn't have to step on that snake's head like that.
I know!! That's what's so darn funny! I've had snakes flatten and pose and strike like that, but this guy is the flattest, posiest, and strikiest I've EVER had!! I guess he just doesn't realize how good he has it now. :grin01:

He does look just a little angry, I would suggest taming that wild beast before he's big...
Beautiful trio, congrats on winning...

OMG!!!! I haven't seen a triangle head like that since I got Ruby our for feeding last night! That is impressive!!! Let's make him even angrier- I love his pink highlights!!!

Boy, that's one mad snake!! Great looking trio!

I won the bid on the other auction, but will be picking them up from Jeff at the show in Columbia. I had better be careful, he might convince me I need to add to my two, too! ;)

Wow, great looking snakes. That boy sure is pissed off--his head is so triangly and flat he looks like a rat snake. I'd tell him that and see if it makes him more mad. Maybe he just has a big head! Whatever, he sure is grumpy, and pink!

I was gone for the day, so couldn't continue the bidding war with you. Looks like a healthy trio there :) Definitely looks like some attitude there ;) Be looking forward to seeing the babies in a couple of years :)

Oh my goodness! Boris will "triangle" at me now and then (he's jumpy) but I didn't even KNOW that their heads could get that "angry."

Incredibly cute!

Thanks for all the great comments! I was happy to be able to add some Mohr (punny, I know!) snakes to my collection.

I'm glad as I probably would have gone outside my tax bracket if I'd have had competition. Did you notice that he posted that he'd sell you a pair for $10 more than what I bid?! You CAN still getcha sum!! :)

So THAT'S what a triangle head is!!! I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing one quite like that, but it does look like it would make for some good pictures!

Oh yeah, it not only makes for some good pictures, it also makes for some good times putting the lid on their cage as they flail and strike at everything from their own shadow to your stray fingers around the lid of the cage. Kinda funny really . . . this 8-10 gram """beast""" trying to intimidate me!

That first photo is hilarious! It's like he's determined to personally counter all the arguments about the wonderful disposition of corn snakes. I wonder if he'd flatten out more if he knew how cute we said it is....

Brent.....he must be home sick. I told him he was going to a good place but he really wanted to stay. Guess he's still mad at me and hoping if he is angry with you that he'll get to come back home. Treat him right and I'm sure he'll be good for you. ;)

Well, last night I decided that he needed some "we" time, so I took him on a long drive through the country side sitting in his delicup on the dashboard. While chatting nicely with each other, I got the truck up to about 60 miles an hour down a gravel road. When he wasn't looking, I slammed on the brakes, forcing "mister nasty" and his cup into the windshield at break neck speeds. After the dust had settled I told him next time I'd do 120 . . . He was fine this morning when I took him out of his delicup. :shrugs:
