What is a vanishing cornsnake?

hey guys, what is a vanishing, what makes it a vanishing, if you guys have pics please post.

Thanks, Petruga

"Vanishing" is a variety of stripe where the stripe is virtually non-existent and even decreases in appearance as the snake grows, creating an almost solid colored corn snake. My dilute anery stripe is sort of a vanishing stripe, but there are much better examples.

Here's a picture of my bloodred stripe Ruby when she was a baby:

So she has the striped pattern for the first quarter then another quarter of cubes, that get fainter and fainter, and for her last half, she only has tiny remnants of the cubes, and then she is patternless. That is a vanishing stripe. You can do a search for her now, but she won't really let me get a picture of her back. Her red has really come in and the pattern is almost undetectable.

Theoretically possible, but the motley pattern tends to be "stronger" than the stripe. Yours is close, but you can still see the pattern all the way to the tail. It just isn't that distinct due to the color genes having their influence as well. Gorgeous snake, by the way!

I love to show off my pics so here's my hypo vanishing stripes. From what I understand, the vanishing part is a selectively bred trait of the stripe gene.

Please do not think i am picking on you or your bundle of joy, but why is the head 'spear shaped'. Is it a corn (sorry new) or are the different species of corns.

Once again i mean no offence

If you do a search for "Ruby" you will see that in nearly every picture of her, for more than a year, she has a triangle head! She's just cranky. Many immitate, but none are as persistant as she is!! I love her for it...Every once in a while you'll see someone post a new hatchling that is triangle-heading. It's so cute! That is why we then call them hatelings!! Oh, if you see a cornsnake demonstrating this behaviour, and persist in handling them, it is very likely you will get struck at and possibly bitten.

Here is a male ghost stripe I held back from last year - in avatar also

I guess this snake, Pepper, is still striped. I think I can see a stripe. It's difficult, though. Or maybe he is patternless. I can't tell! This is Ruby's future husband, BTW.
