"Vanishing" is a variety of stripe where the stripe is virtually non-existent and even decreases in appearance as the snake grows, creating an almost solid colored corn snake. My dilute anery stripe is sort of a vanishing stripe, but there are much better examples.
Can vanishing pattern also happen with motleys ? I hactched this little guy in '07 and when he hatched he looked like a regular motley ...

Here is a vanishing pattern anery stripe.
I love to show off my pics so here's my hypo vanishing stripes. From what I understand, the vanishing part is a selectively bred trait of the stripe gene.

Here's a picture of my bloodred stripe Ruby when she was a baby:

So she has the striped pattern for the first quarter then another quarter of cubes, that get fainter and fainter, and for her last half, she only has tiny remnants of the cubes, and then she is patternless. That is a vanishing stripe. You can do a search for her now, but she won't really let me get a picture of her back. Her red has really come in and the pattern is almost undetectable.
The snake in the picture is showign a defensive posture. In othe words, he is letting you know he is p*ssed off....lol.Please do not think i am picking on you or your bundle of joy, but why is the head 'spear shaped'. Is it a corn (sorry new) or are the different species of corns.
Once again i mean no offence
