Now that's a case where the name of the morph is exactly right for that particular snake! (Ashy, ember or cinder, all work for that combination of colour and pattern!)That's that cinder boy (I guess we should call him Ashy!!) she got from Rich, right, with her partner???
I love how Ashy Sr. almost blends into the tree!! Now if you could only find one of the trees that has those pinkish lichens growing on it, that would be perfect for him! I'm not saying you don't take amazing photographs, Susan, but can you imagine what Robbie could do with that snake, with his macro lens???

If your camera has threads for filters, screw on macro filter lenses will do just fine for closeup shots. That's what I use on my camcorders for videos of the baby snakes. I would suggest that you get a larger filter then your actual thread dimensions on the front of the camera and get a step up ring. This will prevent vignetting if you have to gang a couple of closeup filters for extreme closeups.
