'08 Dilute Project Update/Progression

Susan

Go Ahead, Make My Day!
Sometimes it's obvious if a hatchling is a dilute anery...and sometimes it's not, especially when hypo can be in the mix. The most recent sheds clinched it..."just" an anery stripe female and a ghost motley male (he shed shortly after the photo was taken)...no dilute...homozygous anyway, but I'll keep them both as I like the odds of 66% chance het dilute!

And there is no question about these females...a dilute anery motley and dilute anery stripe (pre-shed and post-shed photos).

You have always have some really nice animals Susan. Love the dilute. Our girl we got from you a few years back is doing great. She just doesnt have that perfect stripe, but I love her messed up pattern.

PJ :wavey:

Well, I love the dilute stripe, but I actually really love "just" more! I can't wait to see the dilute stripe in two or three years, though.

Update!

I already posted new photos of the anery stripe female, but here are the rest I hatched out this year:

First is the ghost motley male (66% het stripe, 66% het dilute). He's a bugger at feeding time, the only persistent problem feeder of the "living room hatchlings". I have one golddust that still wants a little teasing and the few that were still on live last week ate F/T for me this week.

Then you should just send him my way. :D If he wants live, he can have it, here!

Here is #90, the dilute anery motley female. She's a real feisty bugger! I have a feeling she's going to color up similar to Lady with lots of pink and yellow and orange.

#100 is going to be one of my most favorite snakes! She just shed the day before I took these photos.

Female dilute anery stripe.

If it was only that simple! He won't eat live, or F/T, teased, or scented with anything and everything. Right now, I have to basically force feed him. I don't have to shove the entire pinky down his throat as he will finish swallowing on his own. Little b@$/@rd!

Ahhh... I'm better at doing that using lizards... it's so much easier to get a lizard in their mouth!
