Yggdrasil was only like this when Joe was talking me into buying him. As soon as he came home he was nice.

Great shots! Hope no one got blooded getting them. That Honey is awesome!

I don't get too many shots like that because I TRY not to buy hatelings. ( I also usually don't have a camera handy whenever they pull that crap! Believe whatever version you like!;)

But this is the only shot I could get when I took the wild garter my hubby brought home, out for pics. After this he latched on and wouldn't let go! The damn worm actually drew blood on me!

Maybe this is why I decided he belonged back in the wild!

Devon

P.S. Yes, I know its not a corn! :duck:You can stop throwing the spoiled fruit at me! This is the only way I could jump in this conversation's pool!

I don't have any hateling pictures of anyone other than my new boa Calypso. Donatello was always sweet and Malakai wouldn't hold still long enough to let me take a picture. lol

So don't throw spoiled fruit at me either! :duck:

My cage! You no touchy!

Doc, that baby reminds me of a snake I had - She had such a strong feeding response we used to joke she was really a Kingsnake in a Cornsnake's body. :p She mistook fingers as food sometimes, but never did the hateling pose or anything like that toward us.

Mice were a different matter!

(Disclaimer: That is a F/T mouse)

WOW! So beautiful... sorry for your loss.

I am new to this addiction... was she just a normal okeetee? The black/white checkered pattern underneath is stunning!

Yes, she was "just" a normal Okeetee--Abbott's line. I still miss her terribly, and can't help hoping that somehow she's survived, somewhere in this house. We are constantly trying to get rid of wild mice (we use a live trap and relocate the ones we catch), thanks to macaws who throw food around as if they hate it, so it's not like she wouldn't have a food source....

Yeah, I loved that bold checkered belly pattern, too. It always reminded me of a piano keyboard :).

Nothing cuter than a freshly hatched hateling.

I was afraid this guy would never find a home because of how agro he is, but he actually went to someone before many of the other babies did.

He sure didn't like me though!
