Apollo - big ghost stripe boy

Well-known member
I have had this snake since he was a little hatchling and he is one of my favorites. Apollo is always a gentleman when handled, never refuses a meal even during breeding season, and gorgeous! He was hatched in 2004 by Mike Falcon and has fathered clutches for me 3 years now - 06, 07, and 08. Most of his babies have inherited his great temperament, good appetite, and looks.
Here's some pics.

Hi Fred.. Your female is from Apollo and Circe. Your male is from Prometheus and Hera. I have not gotten any cubeds from Apollo but he does throw some nice stripes...
There's a few of his get out there. He is going to be a Grandpa! I hear they will pip soon ;)

Ahhh, I new I would get something wrong. The stripes on the little girl are just WAYYYY kewl! I wish I could "play" with her more, but I don't want to rush her just yet.

I know I mentioned it before, but Prometheus and Circe... they're my favorite out of your Ghosts!

Sorry Apollo!!!!

Fred -I am actually thinking to reverse the breeding next year and pair Apollo with Hera (she throws awesome vanishing stripes) and Prometheus with Circe... I may or may not do so. It hinges on whether a few of my younger project snakes are ready to go next year, if so I will probably give some of the ghosts a year off :)

Elle- Thanks! Yellow is not for everyone but I do like it :)

And so they have! You can see his Grandkids here. The parents of these babies are from Apollo and Circe. Stunning stripes and vanishing stripes!

Thanks Blutengel (didn't see your reply until now)
I really am not sure if "Shiningly healthy" may also mean just a little pudgy. He never met a mouse he didn't eat, and its hard not to throw the rejects from other not-hungry snakes to him because I don't want to waste them. But he is on a strict 1 large mouse every 14 days diet now...

He's gorgeous! I also think yellow is VERY complimentary on ghosts. It doesn't look great on all morphs IMO, but I love it with that soft grey..

Thanks Tom...as promised here's the pics of this years' two Apollo ghost striped daughters I have left. They are both kind of the same... the second one has a bit more of a vanishing stripe, they look different in pics because I was trying the "Blue bowl background" with one it brings out the purple but they both have it - no yellow yet but I'm sure they will get that too lol

I love the second one the most, too. Just think if you could breed a complete vanishing!! Wow, would that be something.
