Boa haters, this is the thread to avoid :)

It's been a long while since I took some photos... at least it feels like it, I honestly don't remember.

Thanks for peeking :)

Now now Oren, just because I love colubrids sooooooooooo muchhhhhhhh moreeeeeeeeeee than boids, does not mean I hate boids!!
And yours are quite lovely, in spite of the fact that they aren't colubrids!
Very nice shots of some beautiful beasties! :)

Gorgeous snakes, as usual! Thanks for sharing!! (And reminding me how much I need a Nic!! Is Topaz a Hypo or a T+ Albino?)

I saw the thread title and couldn't help but think "Boa haters? Is there such a thing???" Can't say I've ever met a person who didn't like boas, unless they were just plain terrified of snakes... Even my dad will absolutely melt if you put a boa in his hands! Boas and "his" Woma--those are the only snakes on this planet that have that effect on him! :p

I don't usually care for albinos, but in that first picture of Torch, those are the coolest eyes!

Thanks everyone! :)

@Floof- she's a T+ albino Nicaraguan Boa... she's lighter then most, but I've seen quite a few CA T+'s like her available at the USA and at great prices.
One thing to remember though is that they are a bit more like BP's... they can be picky eaters and be satisfied with a meal once a month... these are true dwarfs after all... but I LOVE them.

I actually do know people who don't like Boas.. but that's usually before they saw good looking ones in person... I was just like that until I got to hold an adult salmon Boa... I was hooked forever.

@tress29- I'm exactly the same... I don't like the albino morph in most snakes... BP's, Burmese, Kingsnakes, Milksnakes... the red eyes are a turn-off... BUT... Albino Boas have -really- neat eyes, that's one of the reasons I like'em.

So hard to pick a favorite! Maybe Ember, maybe Torch. How could anyone not love their pretty boa faces???

Torch is gorgeous. I am not saying I hate Boa's. I wouldn't own one do to how big they get. They kinda freak me out because of the sheer size, strength and eating capabilities they have. BUT I am fascinated by the different morphs and colours as I am with owning corn snakes.
:)

Ooh, that's what I thought she was! I love T+s... So gorgeous. If/when I ever get a dwarf boa, they're top of the list... But for now, I'll just have to live vicariously through you--it'll probably be a couple years before that day comes. lol

PAIN--The really fun thing about boas is they come in just about every size! For example, Topaz (who I'm still drooling over) is a Nicaraguan, a dwarf locality of the Boa Constrictor that tops out at maybe 4' or a little larger (if I remember right) for females. So, at the largest, maybe the size of a Ball Python. Not at all too big. :)

Got a place in my heart for Torch <3. I don't have any boas though,</3 ...yet

Nic's will get around 5-6 feet, for adult females... girth... something like a can of redbull.
You do have smaller specimen though... Vin Russo explains that a 48 inch adult(!!) female give birth to 4 healthy young.

I really love the CA Boas and are definitely my focus right now.

Ah, learn something new every day! I was under the impression Nics were among the smallest and topped out at 4'... Good to know otherwise. :) Even still, very manageable-sized boas!
