Cooler name for "normal" corn snakes?

Hey all,
Kind of a silly thread here...

I was talking with my wild-type corn-snake Glóinn, and he informed me that with all the cool morph-names around, the beauteous wild-type should have a more interesting name than "wild-type" or "normal".
(Okay, actually I was doing all the talking, and I suspect Glóinn doesn't care what I call him as long as I don't call him late for dinner, but still...)

So, who can think up some more interesting names? The two that came to my mind first off were "Natural Gorgeous" and "Southwestern Art" (for that beautiful Southwestern Native American pottery/basketry/weaving pattern).

Any other thoughts?

(This is not, b.t.w., a slap at morphs...many of them are also incredibly beautiful, and I suspect if I ever start with them I won't stop until I have a whole rainbow...I just particularly appreciate the Natural Gorgeous or Southwestern Art Cornsnake...)

Kathy Love used to call them "classic" corns, which sure has a nicer ring than normal!

I also liked classic vs. normal.
Or wild type over normal.

Regardless, out of all the morphs, I appreciate some are just simply normal :)

I'm always a bit wary of adding labels to Normals, when these can be used by less reputable sellers to get a few more dollars for what is an "ordinary" Corn (not using the term derogatively - I own two!)

If you check Kathy's website, she uses both "Normal" and "Classic". In that context, a "Classic" is a really nicely-marked Normal with heavy Okeetee influences. In that situation, you'd have a very good reason to pay a few more dollars!

I'm sure there was a 'post your normals' thread a while back on here somewhere, showing the wonderful and varied beauty of normal corns.

I almost always use the term Classic when talking about normals, since it sounds better, or I might use either the term Carolina or normal if I'm specifying one that is not a Miami, Okeetee or other recognized or semi recognized locality.

I too like the term 'classic'.. :) as without them we would not have many of the beautiful morphs out in the world today!

I got my male classic/normal from a reptile specialty shop and they had a few differient morphs for sale. a snow, a ghost, anreys, amels, and a motley stripe.. But I went in there and fell inlove with this tiny little classic or normal witch ever you want to call it! But I fell in love.. he had the sweetest personality I had ever seen in a snake, and his colours blew me away!

I loved his neck witch shows a peek of what he's going to look like; deep red saddles with a light orange background. :) with small amounts of black and whites.
sure I could of gotten a bright orange and white Amel, but I'm not a fan of animals with red eyes, and the classics all had gorgeous light brown eyes.. I was hooked!

I picked him up and he stole my heart.. he came home with me, and his colours have only gotten better as he grows with me.

I have seem some amazing morphs out there.. but I still drop my jaw at the site of an adult classic corn. their reds, oranges, blacks and whites just make me think of the sun! :)

I guess the consensus is for classic, then...I like that a lot better than "normal", as Glóinn (or possibly Glóin, I still don't know whether he's a male or a female) is a classic cornsnake of the most exceptional beauty!
His name, by the way, is Old Norse for "Glowing One", and I picked it for his bright colouration and because it is listed as a snake-name as well as a dwarf-name in the Old Norse lists. No direct Tolkien reference intended, Tolkien stole his dwarf-names from the list of dwarves in Völuspá anyway!

Stephen grundy- aha, I too choose my snakes name for his colours.. Sirius is the brightest star in the nights sky, and it litteraly translates to 'flaming' or 'scorcher'.

I though it was appropriate! ;)
