I am so excited for this!! But at the same time I'm so concerned..lol..If i win or even purchase a corn..how the heck am I supposed to get it back to NJ? lol! Man..I have to start coming up with a plan..lol

Some of the vendors there will work with you on shipping. Some may even ship snakes you didn't buy from them if you pay a little extra...
 
If our Monday morning flight did not leave at 6:15 am (otherwise known as the crack of crack), I would be able to ship my own animals home.

I think Betsy and I are teaming up to save on shipping though.

I don't know who else to contact to help donate for it at this point either. I have contacted most of the bigger breeders here for donations for the raffle. Maybe you should make a separate thread about it Robbie and try to generate some interest in contributing?
 
I can probably put something in, but like everyone else, I have to wait until pay day!

Katie did the wristbands arrive yet?

Couldn't we just take this money out of the raffle money? It seems this award goes hand in hand with the dinner and raffle so it doesn't appear to be a stretch to use the money that way.

I don't think that's a good idea. It would take away from the proceeds for USARK. Quite a bit. Say the award cost $100- that's a $200 loss out of our proceeds, with the ZooMed match.

Any news from ZooMed, Katie??

Yeah, I thought of that but to me it is the same. If someone donates $20 to the award then they may not be putting that $20 towards the raffle....and thus the same loss. It doesn't matter much to me though.

Andrew emailed back to me and said not to worry about it. He thinks Keith thought I was looking for something above and beyond their normal match and prize donation - like a monetary donation for the raffle. He said Zoo Med automatically matches anything up to 100k.
