CRAZY BOUT' CORNS !!
Seems like just yesterday huh Steve ??
Just as Rich mentioned, I remember the lost look on your face as well when you told me it was passing over your area as we spoke.
I also remember when you emailed me that same pic. a few months after and it broke my heart to see your collection in that condition.
As you know this is another thing you and I have in common, which isn't all the great..........a loss to a hurricane. Here is a some pics. of my snake room
(and a couple of the mouse building) from when I returned to our house after Katrina. Of course most of our damage was from water as you can kinda see the water line, which was 56in. from the floor of the house.......Our 10 year mark will be next year.
The bad thing about my experience is we couldn't return home for three weeks AFTER the storm. Unlike Florida where storm surge comes in and goes right back out, we had to wait for them to "drain" the parish before we could get back in.
As you say, I can remember it all so vividly........oh yeah, and don't even get me started on FEMA :angry01::angry01: Luckily enough I was one of the very few who had flood insurance. I had to actually track down my adjuster, who was in HOUSTON for some reason, but once I got with him, things went pretty smooth............well on the flood, homeowners was another story :awcrap:
I'm just happy you (as well as I) had the passion we do for the snakes to push through it and start over.
Walter
