How does a bite feel?

I've had my corn for nearly a year now. She has never bitten me, but I know it's inevitable. I don't want to be overly stunned when it happens. Can anyone describe the feeling of the teeth or amount of pressure? Please don't sugar coat it! Lol, I want all the details. Thanks!

Honestly, I've been bitten several times by adult corns where I didn't even notice I had been bitten until I actually SAW the snake on me.

Other times, it stung a little. The teeth are very thin and quite sharp, so it's not like being bitten by a dog or cat where there's a big trauma to the skin.

When this happened...

...It took me a second to figure out what the odd sensation was. Then I snapped the picture and calmly removed her.

(When the snake in my avatar bit me it HURT LIKE ALL GET OUT! Indigo snakes often kill their prey by the sheer power of the bite. He let go almost instantly but WOW is that one experience I am going to remember!)

To be honest you dont really feel anything but saying thats I have known some people to go light headed and hot after being bitten especially after the first time (dont worry its nothing to worry about ) its just because your ia bit shocked lol.

Good Lord, autocorrect made my last post seem awfully silly. I promise I know grammar o.e

I've only been bitten a handful of times. The bites where they strike and release really startle me, but they don't hurt. The bites where they bite and hold on are less startling and they don't feel too bad. It just feels like a hard pinch.

The worst bites hurt less than pulling off a band aid. I have days I am up for it and days I am not, but I'll take a corn bite over being pooped on.

I got bit last week by a snake who never bites. I would compare an adult bite to getting stuck by a raspberry bush, only over much faster.

Anyday, Brother Bear. Amen.

It is definitely more startling than painful. When it does happen try not to yank back if they hold on, it will be over in a second but by them pulling off of you it won't break their teeth.

I tell people it feels like the rought side of velcro. My snow is less than two feet and he very gently mouthed me one night after I put the feeders to defrost- it was adorable.

Two weeks ago, my 3.5 foot snake, Ankh, tagged me. Stabbing myself with a sewing needle hurt way more.

I also handled a black rat snake at a local shop (the lady I was talking to declined picking him up so I reached in for him). I put the back of my hand to him and let him bounce his nose off me a couple times before picking him up, at which point he was mostly okay for handling.

It's more surprise than hurt when it happens. I'd suggest holding out the back of your hand if they are coiling and just let them do it and get the experience over with so you can stop wondering about it.

The velcro analogy is good for a baby corn, or young juvenile. But I would describe an adult corn or rat snake bite as about 1/2 as bad as when my kitten starts playing too roughly and gives me a good scratch. A little sting, but nothing of concern. But I must say that the adult corn bite heals up amazingly fast, to where I can't feel it at all anymore in a day or two. But the kitten scratches often sting a little for several days and take much longer to heal. "Mean" little kitty - but SO adorable and SO worth it, lol!

I have a lovely baby corn snake that would love to show how multiple bites feel!
She would break you in real well. You feel the bites most of the time. A little sting at the most. Not painful like a bee. Just a little tine brief sting if she lands in the right place. Just barely. I have not been bitten by an adult yet. I'm sure it will be this one if she doesn't change her wicked ways.

It's sort of amusing when babies bite and then just sort of hang out there for a minute. It's like they don't know what to do next.

A baby bite sort of feels comparable to giving yourself a small flick with a toothbrush. It's not that it hurts, but it leaves a bit of a sting and it's odd.

An adult corn snake bite just feels like hot shame. It's like getting schooled by a tiny dragon.

A quick bite and release hardly hurts. A lot of times I don't even notice. But when they decide to chew on you, now that does hurt a little. I'm not gonna lie. But really it's not terrible.
