Bought over 40 hatchlings, 5 adults and keepers from my clutches another 28 hatchlings.

I "think" I got 14 new snakes last year....a few corns, a thayeri, a mex-mex, and a pueblacorn... (my count could be off)
Plus two more corns that I received from a friend on a semi-permanent basis. I am also babysitting 6 cornsnake hatchlings for someone who is out of the country.

I have no serious plans for any more purchases this year - although if I find a nice mate at a good price for the thayeri or mex-mex I would probably get those.

And we will have to wait and see if I end up with any holdbacks from breedings this year...

Last year I bought 6 snakes; 3 corns, 1 Pueblan Milk, and 2 Royals.
My biggest purchase of '08 was a AP Rack, that still hasn't come in yet.
I can't get any more snakes, I have no more room left...

I ended up buying 10 snakes in 2008. The corrnsnakes I bought were- 1 Hypo Lavender, 1 Normal, 1 Snow Motley, 2 Granites, 1 Upper Keys, 1 Anery Motley (non feeder didn't make it), and 1 Striped Fire(died while I was in the hospital). I also purchased 1 Ringer Ball Python and 1 Albino Prairie Kingsnake.

I think my biggest snake related purchase was probably 2 40 gallon tanks, and heat pads.

In 2009 I plan on purchasing atleast 7 cornsnakes (Bloodred, Lavender Motley, Fire Stripe, Anery Motley, Ghost Motley, Carmel Motley, Butter Motley). I plan on purchasing atleast 4 non cornsnakes (female Ringer Ball Python, Brazilian Rainbow Boa, Solomon Isle Ground Boa, and possibly a Corn Isle Boa).

I bought two snake racks, a five foot cage, got Jen an indigo, bought 0.1 Amel het cinder stripe, 1.0 bloodred stripe het amel, 1.0 hypo plasma, 0.1 ghost stripe, and 0.1 bloodred from the 'wild cherry' line..
I think I'm really going to sit next year out and wait for some to grow up. But you never know..

ok, I'm the oddball... i dont think i bought any corns in 2008... most were either hatched by me or gifted.... i bought a $20 cal king and some ball pythons....i also bought some thayeri... but haven't received them yet so far for 2009, i bought 2 boas and traded a cal king hatchling for a crestie. as for what else i will buy?? who knows.. i gotta get rid of more 08s before i can think of buying more critters.

I got 2 new ones in 08, a butter stripe and a dilute pastel motley. For 09 I'll be looking to add lava to my collection if I find one with the right hets. I'm lso turning my laundry room into a snake room so the majority of my play money will be going towards that.

I only got a nippy Taiwan Beauty snake in '08, although because of the weird weather, she was almost an '09 purchase.

I'm not sure how many I'm getting in '09... At least two, since I already have a couple 20L's just BEGGING to be filled... And I'm not sure my mom'll let me get more than that. We're short on space and she doesn't like racks... She compares them to dogs in kennels.

I managed all the way through to December before buying one snake last year, but I'm probably going to keep a hold-back pair from Pearl's clutch. No plans to buy any at all this year, but I don't trust myself to keep to that!
Mind you, this girl I bought was irresistible and I don't regret buying her!

In 2008 I kinda sorta doubled my snake number. Oops... it seems to be a trend, so if it keeps up I will have 24 snakes by the end of '09. Lord!! :nope: My wish list gets longer by the day, but my funds are crappy right now, so we'll see.

I bought six in 2008-- the Hog Island boa, the ball python, the housesnake and the three babies (two corns and a leucy rat).

The boa and the African housesnake were about equal in price. $130 or so.
