Lyra '10 Ghost Bloodred

Jessicat

All Pied Everything
This is a progression thread for my little pride and joy, Lyra Silvertongue, an '10 Ghost Blood bred by John F. of Colorado Corns. Absolutely LOVE this girl! She's beautiful and very sweet as well.

First two pictures were taken by John.

At some point last week (I feel compelled to take shots of this beauty)

And today, fresh shed!

She has kind of a weird belly..
I don't think they're belly checkers because 1) She's a Bloodred, and 2) If she had checkers they would be grey ish, not white. :shrugs:

LOVE LOVE LOVE this girl! Hope you do too. ;)

The sun decided to poke through the clouds this afternoon, so I got a few more shots of Lyra outdoors.

I'm excited, not only did I get some nice pictures of a BEAUTIFUL snake, this is my first fall photo shoot, and I'm liking the results!

Lyra in all her glory,

I guess this is at least one reason to be happy about the changing weather..

And, just for old time's sake, some greenery!

I kept one back also and she just shed too, she looks like someone took a bottle of whiteout and painted the sides. Maybe that white on the belly is where the whiteout dripped down.:shrugs:
She is looking very nice, I loved that head pattern.

I wasn't even really willing to admit that the seasons are shifting into fall until this photo shoot. Our summer was really weird. June was totally over cast and rainy. The WHOLE month. We had some hot days, but not enough for me to be ready for cold and rain again. As a native Wisconsinite I'm NEVER really "ready" for rain.. but.. ya know.

Hahaha, John, I like your theory. The white sides sure are something. Which one did you hold back? I think all four of them are very special. I'd love to see some updated shots! ;)

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

So pretty... I love the unique head markings. I always love your beautiful outdoor pictures!

Thanks again for the compliments everyone!

Oh, and Eric, do you have some snakes named after characters from His Dark Materials as well?! I know there are some other Lyras and Pans out there. Is that you?! :dancer:

Thank you so much! I had a lot of fun using the leaves, and I love the way my macro lens catpures their intricate details. Lyra was a VERY good subject as well!

This picture is kinda crazy in my oppinion, cause if it weren't for the small amount of blue showing through from Lyra's iris, it almost looks like I sectioned off her and the rock and turned it monocromatic!

lol, any excuse to look at this girl.. I take it! Could that be a form of narcicism??! :uhoh:

LOL,...I have named a golddust bloodred named Metatron.

I know someone has a Pantalaiman.

Just posting my fall pictures here because I don't like how the last fall pictures turned out. The colors weren't as good and the lighting made her look too dark.

Anyway, here are a few nice "fall" shots that I took on Halloween. Fresh shed pictures will come as soon as she sheds!

Lyra is freshly shed!

The weather is crappy today, so I just took some quick shots of her in her tub. She's starting to color up a little!

I think that it's real interesting how her white sides are kind of divided into really white, and patternless yet darker and speckley.

Parting shot!
