My right to bear arms is under fire right now.

That is a scary looking rifle - what's the recoil like?

Not bad at all. Now, you DEFINITELY know you aren't shooting. 5.56 out of the gun, but otherwise it's not uncomfortable to shoot.

BTW, it's no more "scary" looking than any other AR-15 style rifle.

Definitely scary looking on the receiving end-looks like a miniature Barrett .50 from the pic I saw at Alexander Arms. Guessing yours doesn't have the honking muzzle brake that model does, though...

Nope. I think when I bought mine the muzzle brakes were still outlawed in that hokey assault weapon ban nonsense.

The front of the barrel on mine looks like the one in the below video.

Its been awhile since I've been to Cabela's. but the last time I was there(3 months ago, tops) there were plenty of guns. And plenty of crazy ass looking Mofos buying themselves a gun. Didn't really see a problem on that front. The problem right now is ammunition. The restrictions on ammunition now is absolutly ridiculous. Like "Limit 5 boxes per person" and then you have to wait a minimum of 48 hours to go back and buy 5 more boxes. Me personally I'm stocking up for the Anarchy that is soon to rise in this Nation. I'm not for or against guns. Guns have been nothing but bad for me this past year and 5 months. (My Mother shot and killed herself on June 8th 2012) completly irrelevant. I don't blame that Glock 22. It didn't hop out of our gun cabinet and decide to shoot my Mom. She did. Neither did that supposed AR-15 that dude at Sandy Hook used. It wasn't like "Welp. I'ma go shoot some innocent children today. Brb." People scare too easily. I didn't read through this whole thread. Just the last 3 pages but my point is its not the guns. Its the people behind them. You want a gun, go get yourself one. You don't want one don't get one. Stop blaming inaniment objects and blame the real problem. We have crazy ass people that do crazy ass things. It happens. Sorry to sound foul but majority of the people in this country take no responsiblity for things that happen. You don't see the person that sold these people these weapons getting on TV and saying "Come to think about it, that guy, he COULD have been crazy as ."
End rant. Sorry for switching through points real fast like. On my phone thinking faster than I can type. All valid points you guys have. No arguing. Just throwing my lengthy 2 cents out there.

I'm very sorry about your mother. And appreciative that you are rational about things in spite of something so terrible and emotional happening. I hope your family heals from it.

On a lighter note. Very quick way to find out who you are. I go to schools, mostly High schools and talk to the kids about Suicide and how it affects the families and what not. Most during Suicide Awareness month.

Wow you can buy 5 boxes? Most places here have it limited to two or three. Not that it matters much because when I can find what I need they only have a couple boxes anyway. Although I haven't looked recently.

I traded for a CZ 75 a couple of months back. I'll have to take some photos and post it.

How's that attitude working out for you? I see your hiatus hasn't changed anything.

Yeah man. If this fella doesn't lose the chip on his shoulder, I'm just going to have to flick it off of him again. :poke:
