New Anery??

I have to say, I still do not regret purchasing the pair from Stu... These are turning out to be a very interesting pair of snakes with very clean lines and some of the best temperaments........ Only time will tell. Did anyone else purchase a pair from him? Pictures?

Do you plan on breeding them together, I would love to see those anery babies. I may even want one in the future...lol

That is the plan...I will keep everyone posted with pics as the mature and breed....

I've got a female Anery A laying eggs today from the NC Anery male. Not much longer to wait now!

Update : 16 good eggs!

I'm excited to see the results!
All-in-all, even if it ends up being Anery A, it will be a much cleaner Anery A with much less yellow.

Tara... You need to post some pics of yours and how they are progressing... These are some of my favorites to take out and chill with....

Hey Guys!

Well, about half of the eggs have hatched and this male IS compatible with Anery A. I know, its a bit of a let down, but at the same time I still think there is something special about this boy. He is just so different from my other Anery A animals. For the folks that did purchase pairs, you really need to breed them out just to see if you can get a male that looks like this one. For all the doubters, you may now feel superior and start in with the I told you so's :)

Thank you so much for the feed back Stu. I'm sure others are with me when I say - I really appreciate you test breeding.
It's not like you charged an arm and a leg for the pairs to begin with. I can say that I'm not disappointed in the least if the crisp, sharp contrasting colors can be maintained. Also, the question remains: Has it been looked at macroscopically.
There's always the chance that may still be a separate anery but is allelic.

Can we get pictures of the babies from you just to see how the colors emerge?

Again, thanks Stu.

Oh well, there's nothing wrong w/ nice anerys. I think it is one of the most under appreciated morphs. People don't like much yellow on them so if a line like yours helped somebody that was shooting for a certain look those babies would be well worth it. It will be interesting to see f2's from the folks that bought them, and I would love to see pics of the clutch you have pipping from the anery A girl as well!
I was a doubter, but feeling superior or saying I told you so- Not really my thing. I hope nobody else would do that either.

You've got a good point Jen. The father has minimal yellow on him and the fact that he was WC provides new blood AND minimal yellow.
It's one of the highlights for me and one of the reasons why I'm not disappointed in the least.

Hey Guys,

Tried to get some pics of the babies tonight, but my meager camera skills were failing. I'll give it another shot tomorrow. Won't be able to get a new shot of the male right now, he's at a friends house.

Anery baby

Here's one of the Anery babies, most have this really clean contrast to them. :)

Now *that* is a beautiful baby anery! I really do hope they keep that contrasty look into adulthood like their father. :D

Agreed! If I were looking to purchase an anery baby....this is what i'd want it to look like! wow! :)

Thank you for the photo Stu. That is one gorgeous baby. I hope those patterns/color contrast remain as distinct as the patterns on the father. I'm super excited for my pair to reach breedable age.

Tara, do you have any photos of the pair you have? I wonder if they look like my Aurora (female) and Borealis (male)?
