New Sunrise motley-stripe amels

Chip

ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒ&
From Sean at VMS herps, 1.4 2011 animals. All just ate their first f/t meal offered, so I didn't pester them too much for photos. I'll post more later.
First, here's a hatchling pic:

Same animal one year later:

These will continue to get redder, then white may or may not show up in either a calico effect or sometimes just along the lines of the stripes. I look forward to watching these progress. Thanks for looking.

Sweet! You snatched them up right before I was going to get one! We NEED updates as they get their white!!

I'll have baby sunrise next year, don't know if any will be motley, though. Sorry to have snagged your snake, I started to get 1.3 but I felt bad for Sean to leave him with one!

Thanks! If you look closely at the head patterns, you'll see they are five different snakes. They all are pretty similar though. The female in the second picture is one of my for sure holdbacks who just shed and is showing some white.

This is the one I really liked on Sean's page cause it had a white border already!! She is looking SWEET!

The girl shed again. She ate 48 hours ago, but I seem to have a hormonal thing where sometimes I smell delicious to snakes. Try to observe her beauty and overlook that she is trying to eat me.

I couldn't get over all the saliva! My thumb was wet from her stupid drool thinking she could eat it. I didn't get proper pictures but she spent a good minute working her head all around my thumb seeking a swallowing point.

After a minute she lets go and decides to be sane. What was I thinking, that's the guy that always picks me up, not a mouse. I'll let him pose me for pictures. NOT! I'LL JUST EAT THE HUMAN FROM HERE!

You really should try feeding her appropriate sized prey. :p That hand is WAY too big for her.

She's stunning, though. And hilarious.

Beautiful! I hope you keep us posted on their progression!
(Obviously she has a good appetite. LOL)

I will keep the updates coming, but my understanding is that they can continue to change until they are about 6 years old. She is the only one showing any white yet (already was when I bought her), Don says she was really early for that and she should be a high white adult.

All of them have attacked me like this except the male. He's a dainty eater, comparatively. It's easy to cage clean for them, though, they hold on while I do everything!

This is one of the more typical girls. Don't see a sliver of white yet in them, except the previously pictured female.

I just realized you had your own forum, so now I answer my previous questions..hmm I bet they will get white, maybe it's like with alot of morphs and the males get more color than females? Just a thought or maybe they will just get it later

I only have 1.5 amel sunrise to draw from, the one individual with lots of white is a female, for what that's worth. Here's my '09 SMR girl, (not motley, though Don S suspects she's "super-red mask"):

I'll snap some pics soon, not much change since the last update but size, though.
