I am trying to find some pics of what a black motley cornsnake will look like when older? do they get darker?

and how different do the Anery and Black motley look side by side? any pics would be great I am going tomorrow to pick out another corn

Anery is lacking erythrin, or red pigment, leaving only gray, tans, browns, and sometimes yellow around the chin & neck. As far as I know "black" is simply a trade name referring to anery. If you google motley anery corn snake, you'll see tons.

Pet shops label anerys as blacks. They simplify the terminology, unfortunately making it even more confusing to people than if they used proper terms, and simply had a definition of the term at the display. Anery is a snake lacking the red pigment. One of my favorites! So, side by side, an Anery and a Black motley will look essentially the same, since they are BOTH the same morph, I say essentially because every snake looks different. :p

Like all corns, they can look totally different as hatchlings, as yearlings, then change again as they get older. Typically you'll get stark black and white as babies, but then the saddles can lighten, show brownish tones, pinks, greys. The ground colour changes too, they usually get a lot of yellow along their sides. Here's my Annie as a baby and as an adult. I've never been sure if she was a ghost motley (hypo anery) or a light anery motley

Here's my Anery Motley. I wish she would have kept her contrast, but she lightened up. She does have a cool pinkish tone though, so I can't really complain.

She was just about as peachy as a yearling, then got quite darker than he did as she got older.
