Surprise, surprise! GRAVID!

Twang'em into trees!
We weren't expecting to become gravid so soon...!

I had my first prenatal today, with a tentative due date of March 10th (joy & rapture, when my state's major standardized test will be given -- won't my principal be thrilled to see me this fall!!!). I'll have my ultrasound this Fri, where we hope to hear the baby's heart beat & get a more definitive due date. :) (I'm between 5-7 weeks, so we're hoping that we'll err on the side of later than sooner to be able to hear the beating!)

You better believe that my baby herper will be sportin' some of TripleMoonsExotic's Baby Herp gear! ;)

Congrats???

Yes, it's a good thing, not a questionable one in the least. :)

Thank you muchisimas to everyone! I just finally wanted to post a gravid thread, no matter what or who it is that is gravid!!! I felt very left out of the breeding season, so I guess that I did the best that I could. ;)

Again, thanks!!!

YAY! So much congrats!
Did you save the stick or something? ( I took a picture of mine too) I just wonder since you said you already had your first prenatal visit and normally you don't have it so soon after taking the test.

Congrats Christina! Now for the important questions:
1) Will you be using an incubator or room temps?
2) Which incubation medium will you choose, perlite, vermiculite, moss or hatchrite?
3) Are you or the father Het for anything cool?
4) You should post pics once you've been candled. And then a progression thread as the little "marshmallow" grows.
I hope it's a large clutch that's very fertile and hatches perfectly and eats right right away!;)

I did save the stick -- all seven of them. :p (I really wanted to be sure, and I took the tests over 4 days...!) I took all of the tests last week, and promptly after getting 4 positives in a row on Monday, I called for an appt -- and then took 3 more tests to be sure. :) I had my visit so soon because just a week & a half ago I was already in the dr's office, talking about getting pregnant and after discussing how I was feeling, she perceptively asked me, "Are you sure that you're not already pregnant?" I declared, quite emphatically, "NO!" Well...silly me. My dr's office takes you once you've shown as pregnant on a stick test because it generally shows as positive once you're close to missing or just missed your period...so, why not get started on prenatal care as soon as possible? Seems logical to me. And, all of the books I've read have stated pretty much the same...

Answers:
1) I will be providing the incubator.
2) I'm going to go the novel route and let Nature provide the incubation medium -- why mess with a good thing? :)
3) I'm homo for really high-arched feet (super-great for all athletes! They've served me well in dance!) & the father is homo for really nice legs & great skin...I'm hoping for some fun hets to prove themselves. ;)
4) The candling will happen on Fri -- already! I hope to post that asap...and, as soon as there is something to show, I shall post progressively away. :)

Eeeek! A *large* clutch!? We're hoping for one egg, max. That's definitely enough for us. :) However, we hope as well for a perfect hatching & healthy eating!

Thanks again to all! :)

Congrats, Christina! :) I'm glad to hear your appointment went well!
Thanks! And you're having a boy?! CONGRATS to you, as well! :) That certainly makes the naming game go a lot more smoothly, doesn't it??? ;) (You had a boy's name already picked out, right? Now, are you starting to question it...or, it's a for sure go? :) )

Yup, yup. His name is Corbin James Kunder. :) I got the ultrasound DVD, but I haven't managed to figure out how to convert it so I can upload to youTube yet.

Congrads on the news!! Your life is about to be changed forever :D
Thank you! It has already started to change -- so many things to do, so many things to think about...although, no matter how much I prepare or feel ready, none of it will go as planned. :p I'm glad that I was a long-term baby-sitter for a few families while growing-up, and then a teacher for now 4 years -- it's definitely been valuable experience! (And it certainly helped to keep me from having kids too soon!) :)
