Vanay- Anery ugly progression

Such a pretty snake! I noticed you changed from calling the snake a "she" to a "he". Did you find out it's actually a boy?

He probed male, has a "male" tail, and my males show no interest in him other than dominance.... so yeah. 99% certain that Vanay is a 'he'.

He's sooo sweet! What an awesome snake. I thoroughly enjoyed looking through his progression.

I just love anything silvery!! When and with what do you plan on test breeding him?

"Anery-ugly" title reclaimed!

Vanay has decided he is not a gray snake. He is a dirty brown/tan snake. I love him, but ye-gods I wish he'd stayed silver and gray. XD

Vanay will be 2 years old in May. You can also see his scar from his suicide attempt pretty well in most of these. :/ Dumb snake.

But but but... that dirty brown wash! *despairs*

As to what he did to his head, I forgot to fully latch his viv's door and he shoved his head in an area it flexed... and got stuck. I heard him thrashing about. He tore all the scales off the nape of his neck there and his whole head was bruised.

That makes him look good.
Oh okay.

But- that's what color aneries are!!

My aneries actually don't have much of that sort of wash at all! It amuses me that next to a charcoal, he looks like an anery. And next to an anery, he looks like a charcoal. Hopefully next year he'll want to breed.

Vanay and his blue bucket

Well, Vanay is just shy of three years old now, and I think he's settled into his adult colors which are basically the color of graphite. He's been actively breeding all the females I've put him to, so this year we should have him mostly figured out.

Anery ugly does not fit him at all anymore. I'm very pleased with how he looks thought his attitude could use some adjustment. :p He's such a doofus.

Full body shot in the bucket. It's overcast/drizzling at the moment, and images are taken without flash. A part of me can't help but wonder if those square saddles are influenced by sunkissed.

He's developed quite a bit of yellow over the last year, and it's in between the shades normally associated with Anery A and Charcoal. I'm actually the teeniest tiniest little bit sad about the split belly checkers... because look at how many checkers he has!

His head pattern has indeed mostly vanished into a single color, though you can still see the hints of the fractured nature of the central marking. The scarring on the back of his head did not help this.

Out of focus a bit (this snake NEVER sits still!) but you can still see the dark bronzy color of his eyes and the general fading of all pattern on his face. Have to admit, I like the yellow acting as his facial 'tiger stripes'.

And just a quick shot of his side, all close-up.

So far this year he's paired with a butter het diffused (in case the other diffused critter slugs out), a ghost het amel, and eventually Lacy, my super dark pewter.
