It's really driving me crazy not knowing lol. I thought I might get a few more views here and more people throwing out ideas! These guys are straight out of the egg so I'll post more pictures after they shed and of their sheds if I need to.

First up here's Mom. She's an Amel het Anery and she's supposed to be het diffused but that wont be proven till next year.

Next is Dad. He's sorta a Mystery male. When I first got him I believed him to be an Anery Motley, of course now i'm not so sure.

Oh yeah... I meant to mention normal(LOL) on the one it's just the red babies I wasn't sure about!! I keep thinking hypo, it's what I first thought when I saw the nose but I've actually never seen a hypo baby in person lol!

If they are hypo then I think I have a little ghost poking it's nose through. It's much lighter than an Anery... ^-^

Those are definitely hypos and a ghost! I personally would still consider the male to be an anery motley het hypo as he is just really dark to be a ghost, especially a male, IMO. However, the mother sure could be a hypo amel as you really can't tell by appearance. Future breeding trails will need to be done to determine the exact genetics of the parents. They both could still be only het hypo and the percentage of hypos in the clutch just one of those things. Of course, I don't know how large the clutch is and all the rest very well could be non-hypos.

Thanks all :)

Well there's 14 eggs, so far we have 4 hypos, 2 normals and 1 ghost out of the egg and it looks like another ghost pipping as well as another hypo. 4 have yet to pip... (It's 1 am and I think I'm missing something cuz those numbers aren't adding up) I'm even more excited about this clutch than I was before they started to pip!

Well that's a cool surprise! You were expecting normals, and both parents are at least het hypo! How fun!!

Sometimes the numbers don't match the math. Mothers nature plays tricks on us sometimes :)
Congrats on them they are beauties!

I was thinking the same thing! It would explain why they look lighter than most hypos, why theres more than a 1/4 ratio, and why the 'ghost' looks a little off. Does anyone else think this might be ultra creeping it's way into things?

Mitch

Also, excuse me if I'm way off here, but being red-green colorblind, the sire looks to be a dirty brown. Any chance he's a dark caramel motley? With all the golddust breedings out there this morph would be a common result, and would explain how ultra made its way into the mix. Could he be a caramel motley het ultra?

Mitch

He's a light gray with a little yellow creeping up the side... It may be be the pictures, they light in the bedroom is yellow, i can try to get a few outside it that would help.

It could be possible for there to be ultra in there since I don't know any background on him and this is the first time i've bred him so I have nothing to go on. I plan on holding back a pair of these and breeding them back to mom and dad in a few years... I'm also going to have to find a ghost to breed the Dad to i think...

Having probables with uploading the newest picture to photobucket. Only had time for one before the batteries died. Here's the link to my facebook page, I don;t think you have to be a friend to see it. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151722657445153.855509.712710152&type=1

Got the batteries charged enough for a few quick outside pics of dad... Btw, I guess I remember him lighter than he is lol, he does have a brownish look to him, I just remember him all silvery when we first got him... He may be going into shed but he shed about 5 weeks ago so it would seem a little early for him...

Are all the babies out yet? Because you would think that if ultra was in play there would be some amels to. If there aren't amels I would be inclined to think that they are hypos and ghost but yes I had the same thought with the ultra.

You should only expect amels if the sire is het amel, but he can't be if he's already het ultra, otherwise he'd be an expressed ultramel.

They appear Hypo to me... but pics often don't show all. Wonder if you could get us an eye shot (of the hatchlings)without using the flash, maybe take one near the window, or outside.

The Anery/ghost, appears to be an Anery(motley) to me too. Whatever they prove out to be Congratz Morgan.

Charging the batteries for the camera now, I should be able to take them out when it gets a little cooler and get some eye shots...

As of right now there are 3 normals, 3 hypo/ultramel, 1 ghost/ultramel anery, and 3 anery(i think). 1 is piping now but I cant tell what it is and 3 have yet to pip. I got a few pics of the last 3(the aneries) that ill post when i can get back to the computer(on tablet now, George is playing MW3).
