I use the kaytee. Zoomed is too expensive and premier pet smells funny to me and seems more splinter-prone.

I'm really picky about my aspen!

I use Kaytee and Zoomed. I actually don't prefer the way the larger Kaytee pieces look in my photos and to the naked eye, but it's only an aesthetic thing. It works great, is absorbant, is not dusty, and is cheaper than ZooMed, which I really only use when I can afford. Here's a photo comparison of Kaytee aspen size vs Zoomed aspen size.

As you can see there is a HUGE difference between flake size. I don't really like the way it looks, but it works just the same. It's probably less dusty than Zoo Med, and really.. much less expensive.

I use Premier Pet from Tractor Supply Company.

However, there was a great sale on shipping from National Pet Pharmacy, so I ordered a bag of Harlan Sani Chips, and with the $5 shipping it cost me about the same as driving to the next town over to the Tractor Supply Company.

Forgot to add, the Premier Pet is only $10 for a very large bag - lasts me about 8 months or so.

I'm the opposite- I like the big fluffy Kaytee aspen, not the thin "snake" aspen. Although thin aspen holds together for burrows better.

Don't you wish we could poll our snakes to see what they think? ;-)

LOL- ;)

Results of a snake poll

1- More mice please!

2- You worry about Aspen brands, but I could care less as long as the mice keep coming.

3- You worry about live vs f/t, but I could care less as long as the mice keep coming.

4- You worry about going away for a week, but I could care less as long as the mice keep coming (plus it's nice and quiet when you're gone).

Everyone else feel free to add some more results. These would be the top 4 in my book

I use Sani-Chips. I know some people have had problems with feeding or breeding on it, but I love it.
