The hilariousness of this whole thing is that withion the next 24 hours, you and KJUN will both find and actually read what has you so angry, find out you are dead wrong, and disappear from this topic without a trace. Exactly like the obama youth thread. Once you found out that everything you were so angry about was initiated with no proof and was 100% FALSE...you simply stopped posting.
That will happen here, too, because frankly...KJUN is just plain wrong, and Mike...illegal immigrants already GET government sponsored health insurance. That's nothing new. So don't let it ruin your day when it's already been happening across the country for the last several years, already at our expense. It's already happening. Like any economic resource, there's a finite supply. It's just that currently, the rationing is done by the health insurance industry.

I'm glad you mentioned a "border town" in the broader context of the health care debate.
Did anyone here happen to read the article in the New Yorker magazine back in June about the high healthcare costs in McAllen, TX? Second in the nation only to Miami, and far, far, more expensive than other "border towns" such as San Diego and El Paso, the difference had nothing to do with illegal immigrants as much as it did with "overutilization", ie, practicing "defensive medicine" to such a degree the that patient was viewed as a "profit center".
It's an interesting and enlightening read.

Breads and Circuses. Exactly right......HOWEVER, states have the right to do that. If you don't like it, MOVE. The federal government was contrained in its power so the sattes COULD do what the people wanted....and travel is stated as a right of the people so they can move to an area more to their liking if they want. The problem is when the federal government comes in and says that all the states have to be one way....socialist in this case. If the federal government said that one state could NOT give free health care in state-run hospitals, that would be as wrong as the federalis saying it HAS to do such.

I'm technically a liberal because I believe that corporations should not screw over their workers or the public (oil production is a good example of this), because I do not believe that discrimination should be institutionalised (gay rights), because I believe that I have a right to have someone keep their bible out of my uterus (provisionally for abortion).

If you reach in my wallet and take money, you would be a thief, right? Even if you gave that money to someone else, you would still be a thief. I'm sure you see that. Now, if you tell your brother to take the money from my wallet, then both of you are thieves, right? Most people would say, yes." Both members that plan the robber/burglary/whatever would be theifs since they are taking the money from the rightful owner against his will.
If the government takes from a person against their will - and another person VOTES for that government to do such - then they are taking money from the rightful owners against their will. Now, some things are allowed by the constitutions, but that doesn't include redistribution of wealth. When it comes to that, it is NOT supported in the constitution, it is pretty much disallowed by it, and it was definitely against the intent based on the words of our forefathers. So, forcing redistribution of wealth to TAKE it from those that earn it and GIVE it to those that do not is tantamount to thievery.
Telling a politician to take more and more from other people to give to yourself (I don't mean you personally - this is all an analogy) OR third party is the same as stealing it from the earner. This doesn't mean national defense, trade regulation, etc. - I'm talking about pure redistribution of wealth from the "lucky" that MADE their own luck through hard work to the "less fortunate" that are, too often, just not ones that feel like they need to work to "earn" money.

Right. I understand. Some liberals (more like socialists to the extreme) would be saying that I should be taxed to pay for it FOR you if I just happen to make more money for you. THAT is where I have a problem. I pay my own way through the sweat of my brow. I shouldn't have to pay it for others who don't work. I'm not referring to you personally (again) - I'm referring to the grtoup that are life-long welfare reciepients. I'm referring to people that have the mentality that they are OWED a check - without working - because......... Well, I've never understood their reasoning so I can't finish that sentence.

Omniscient? No. Intelligent enough to realize the incredible amount of danger involved with a hospital treating a patient without verifying THEIR IDENTITY. Without knowing, for certain, whom an individual is, it is impossible to treat them. Period. That is why EVERYTIME you go to the hospital, you show your ID, give them your DL number, and your Social Security number...so they can VERIFY YOUR IDENTITY.
It is not only incredibly dangerous, it is a malpractice lawsuit waiting to happen should a hospitakl or doctor decide to treat a patient WITHOUT KNOWING WHO THEY ARE. It's really that simple. Your claim is utterly ridiculous and lacks even the most basic sense of intelligence. Period.

So lets pick a scenario, lets say, Bob is driving along in his girlfriend's car and forgot his wallet and cell and any identifying information and any allergy information and any medical record and any insurance information at home. Well he gets in a wreck and the car is mangled and beyond recognition, and the medics are afraid he will not make it to the hospital, much less live. Well good ol Bob is a fighter, he makes it to the hospital, what happens? Do the ambulance medics leave him on the curb to die, because he hospital could not identify the man? Or, does the hospital take Bob in, treat him, and hope they do it right, knowing full well that Bob may or may not have allergies, Bob may or may not have a medical history, ect ect.
