"You lie!" - Disrespect or expression of an opinion?

I think it's like a gangrenous limb. Sometimes you try to save it by treating it, but then sometimes you just have to resort to loping it off to save the rest of the healthy body. After all, the health of the rest of the body really is of paramount importance. Leaving it there just causes the rest of the body to fester and die along with it...or at least stunts the growth and potential of the rest. Either way, it smells bad as it rots!

It would be interesting to determine who is the body and who is the limb. Funny how anatomy and geography can't relate in this case since there are not such things as limbs in the mid part of a body.

Anyhow, the bad smell seems to come from the East. :nyah:

Right.........but Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Riiiiiiiiight... Who will guard the guardians?

So you are saying you can trust conspiracy websites but you won't trust "a nonpartisan, nonprofit "consumer advocate" for voters (website) that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics, (who) monitor the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews and news releases, and (whose) goal is to apply the best practices of both journalism and scholarship, and to increase public knowledge and understanding?"

This is why I'm amused at those who claim HR 3200 will cause "rationing" of health services.

It's already happening. Like any economic resource, there's a finite supply. It's just that currently, the rationing is done by the health insurance industry.

I just thought this kind of went along with what you were saying. Nurses back this idea up, but a liberal news man and elected liberal black woman from California are commenting on it so....it's liberal bunk! LOL

So lets pick a scenario, lets say, Bob is driving along in his girlfriend's car and forgot his wallet and cell and any identifying information and any allergy information and any medical record and any insurance information at home. Well he gets in a wreck and the car is mangled and beyond recognition, and the medics are afraid he will not make it to the hospital, much less live. Well good ol Bob is a fighter, he makes it to the hospital, what happens? Do the ambulance medics leave him on the curb to die, because he hospital could not identify the man? Or, does the hospital take Bob in, treat him, and hope they do it right, knowing full well that Bob may or may not have allergies, Bob may or may not have a medical history, ect ect.

I'll give you a scenario. A 17 year old boy cuts the tips of his index and middle finger off in shop class. The ambulance shows up and will do nothing buy give him a towel to bleed into and transport him to the ER. The ER will do NOTHING without an emergency medical form. The boys emergency medical form was at another school. The boys mother was called and told her son needed "stitches" and couldn't get them until she showed up. The boys mom had three very rough boys and she regularly had to leave work for broken bones, stitches and fights especially for this older boy. The boys mother worked an hour and a half away from the ER. That boy waited 2 and a half hours before anyone would tough him. That was in an empty ER!

If you haven't figured it out... I cut my fingers off 16 years ago! lol As soon as my mom signed the forms I had two nurses on each arm prepping my for surgery. Before that nobody would touch me!

36.9% of claims are refused. 36.9% of claims are refused. That's more than 1/3 of all claims are refused. Everyone that's been saying "I want to make my money and keep it ni my pocket." should make a choice...either start supporting medical reform, or stop complaining about people stealing your money, because the biggest thief in your life right now is you insurance company. Anyone claiming to ahte thieves and liars, cheats and scoundrels, andyone trying to take what rightfully belongs to them should probably be standing up and taking notice of the REAL facts and claims, suported by the companies own data. You pay 3/4/500 bucks a month so you can be "covered" when you need it...and you have a 2 in 5 chance of actually having your medical costs covered.

Talk about lying, thieving, stealing, conniving, no good people with their hands shoved deep into your pocket to take what belongs to you...

Of course...it DOES break on a liberal news channel. So it MUST be absolutely bogus, made up garbage to try and scare people so they feel secure with a modern socialist society. Can't possibly have any truth to it...

Personally I applaud him! He's just saying what many of us feel. For the President to sit up there and say that we won't be providing free care for illegals as we do now is bull. I would happily vote for him to continue. I want a representative that will say what the average voter feels. Good for him in my book! It's called Freedom of Speech and so far, we're still allowed to practice it.

I got a job with a good company and I'm not paying anywhere near those amounts for ALL of my insurances combined.... Guess my insurance company is a good one.

I also know that I'll never complain about having to pay the rates for my insurance company because I will NEVER be able to overcome the amount of money given to me BY the medical insurance company to cover my heart surgery. So, who really loses money in the long run? Me or my insurance company who shelled out closed to 3/4 of a million for me to have a better quality of life? :headbang:

There's 1. Anyone else?

You use the headbanging smiley, as if to somehow imply that the numbers are wrong, or simply because of your ONE good experience, everything else must be a lie. Don't hurt yourself trying to convince me...you never will. I know how to read too well to fall for it...

I forgot that the President was supposed to make laws and bills based on your personal experience, rather than the vast majority of the the rest of country...:poke:

I love Freedom of Speech. Hate rude people. Whether or not he was excercising his right to free speech...he was rude about it. And just for the record...excercising your right to free speech doesn't make you right. And since Wilson's outbuirst was wrong according to the bills being presented...it doesn't stand uyp very well as Free Speech. I mean, the speech chosen to be exercised by a Senator should at least be accurate. But maybe that's asking too much...

How about anybody who else who has ever had major surgery, a hip replacement, heart attack, knee replacement, etc. That had insurance? All of these people will NEVER be able to pay back in monthly deductables what their insurance companies shelled out for their surgeries. I honestly don't think insurance companies are "screwing you over" as much as you think they are. What I honestly think is that you don't understand the amount of money it takes to have these procedures done and WHY they cost as much as they do. I may be completely wrong (and I'm sure you'll tell me about it) but that's the way its coming off.

I also have to point out that it has sounded like you would like to see the current insurance companies regulated. Is that correct? Maybe THAT is the first step by applying to boundaries to the insurance companies, but why does that mean we need to overhaul the entire system and add another government run option. Have we not realized that they are incapable of running an efficient program? That almost every government program has been a failure or a deficit on the government budget? NASA is the ONLY government institution that pays for itself with the innovation it produces. So, now we say that the insurance companies should be regulated by the government. Weren't the banks supposed to be regulated to a certain extent by the SEC? How did that work out? Maybe we should FIX what's wrong with our current bureaucratic entities before adding something else that is going to cost extraordinary amounts of money.

Finally, we've already seen BO go to town on spending since he got into office and I have to ask. Wasn't it his whole "balancing the budget" and "cutting money for every dollar we spend" the platform that shot him back above McCain in the presidential race? Where does that come into play and when will the people stop and ask that question? Maybe we shouldn't be asking what MORE can the government do for us, but how can the government fix ITSELF before trying to help us out. I know that if I'm absolutely broke, I'm going to try and get back on my own two feet before I start loaning you money and services.

Just a thought from another conservative sheep...

I agree with you Chris. Republican, Democrat, or Independent is irrelevant in this case. Like many people have said before, rude is rude no matter his/her political party.

Rep. Wilson's action was unprecedented. It is unfortunate to see the political parties becoming more and more polarized.

I just hope we never get to this

I agree that I hope it never comes to that. That was insane.

Although... it would make CSPAN a lot more fun to watch :grin01:
