I think it's like a gangrenous limb. Sometimes you try to save it by treating it, but then sometimes you just have to resort to loping it off to save the rest of the healthy body. After all, the health of the rest of the body really is of paramount importance. Leaving it there just causes the rest of the body to fester and die along with it...or at least stunts the growth and potential of the rest. Either way, it smells bad as it rots!
never seen so many pandas in one place...hmmm...and swimming ones at that.
Right.........but Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
I realize that it's probably due to the whole Evolution """debate""", but rational thought/The Scientific Method/Analysis In Probability/Statistics has no partisanship.Better than letting to grow up into a Democrat.....lol.
This is why I'm amused at those who claim HR 3200 will cause "rationing" of health services.
It's already happening. Like any economic resource, there's a finite supply. It's just that currently, the rationing is done by the health insurance industry.

So lets pick a scenario, lets say, Bob is driving along in his girlfriend's car and forgot his wallet and cell and any identifying information and any allergy information and any medical record and any insurance information at home. Well he gets in a wreck and the car is mangled and beyond recognition, and the medics are afraid he will not make it to the hospital, much less live. Well good ol Bob is a fighter, he makes it to the hospital, what happens? Do the ambulance medics leave him on the curb to die, because he hospital could not identify the man? Or, does the hospital take Bob in, treat him, and hope they do it right, knowing full well that Bob may or may not have allergies, Bob may or may not have a medical history, ect ect.
36.9% of claims are refused. 36.9% of claims are refused. That's more than 1/3 of all claims are refused. Everyone that's been saying "I want to make my money and keep it ni my pocket." should make a choice...either start supporting medical reform, or stop complaining about people stealing your money, because the biggest thief in your life right now is you insurance company. Anyone claiming to ahte thieves and liars, cheats and scoundrels, andyone trying to take what rightfully belongs to them should probably be standing up and taking notice of the REAL facts and claims, suported by the companies own data. You pay 3/4/500 bucks a month so you can be "covered" when you need it...and you have a 2 in 5 chance of actually having your medical costs covered.
Talk about lying, thieving, stealing, conniving, no good people with their hands shoved deep into your pocket to take what belongs to you...
Of course...it DOES break on a liberal news channel. So it MUST be absolutely bogus, made up garbage to try and scare people so they feel secure with a modern socialist society. Can't possibly have any truth to it...
I also know that I'll never complain about having to pay the rates for my insurance company because I will NEVER be able to overcome the amount of money given to me BY the medical insurance company to cover my heart surgery. So, who really loses money in the long run? Me or my insurance company who shelled out closed to 3/4 of a million for me to have a better quality of life? :headbang:
There's 1. Anyone else?
You use the headbanging smiley, as if to somehow imply that the numbers are wrong, or simply because of your ONE good experience, everything else must be a lie. Don't hurt yourself trying to convince me...you never will. I know how to read too well to fall for it...
I forgot that the President was supposed to make laws and bills based on your personal experience, rather than the vast majority of the the rest of country...oke:

I love Freedom of Speech. Hate rude people. Whether or not he was excercising his right to free speech...he was rude about it. And just for the record...excercising your right to free speech doesn't make you right. And since Wilson's outbuirst was wrong according to the bills being presented...it doesn't stand uyp very well as Free Speech. I mean, the speech chosen to be exercised by a Senator should at least be accurate. But maybe that's asking too much...

I agree with you Chris. Republican, Democrat, or Independent is irrelevant in this case. Like many people have said before, rude is rude no matter his/her political party.
Rep. Wilson's action was unprecedented. It is unfortunate to see the political parties becoming more and more polarized.
I just hope we never get to this
