Kind of Corny
I’m just curious if anyone out there really likes corn snakes that are mean? Perhaps because they have more personality.... present a challenge to you.... keep your pesky relatives away, etc. I personally don’t tend to like the mean ones as much and would guess that most other people would feel the same way.
So, here is my situation: Last year I hatched a ghost corn that is very mean and pretty much strikes and bites me every time I handle him. I thought with time and more handling that his mean attitude would go away, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I have had numerous people see his picture on my website and express interest in purchasing him, but I feel obligated to tell prospective buyers about his personality issues… and always lose the sale!
Customer service is important to me, and I don’t want to sell anyone a snake they aren’t going to like. I have pretty much come to the realization that I am not going to be able to sell this little guy due to his attitude. Perhaps if he were a rare, high-end morph people would be more willing to put up with the mean temperament, but he is just a ghost. Anyway, at this point I am totally willing to give this little guy away for free (for cost of shipping) if anyone out there is interested in taming the beast.
I’m curious to hear your thoughts on mean corn snakes and whether you guys would buy one if you knew ahead of time that it was going to have a mean temperament?
