Dilutes?

I've looked into these off and on, finding only Dilute Anerythristics, maybe I remem a Dilute Lava, but am wondering what other combos with dilute others might have or are working with.
From the few examples I've seen, by itself it's not so striking, but might be something cool in combo with other morphs.
I'm planning on adding this gene to my collection, maybe can get an adult for breeding next season. Just trying lay out some longer term projects, but is hard w/o a lot to go on about Dilutes.

I have six dilute anery motleys from several different bloodlines. I have seen dilute snows offered by Sean Niland and have heard of dilute caramels, just haven't seen them. There is an awesome effect on color. Their heads look like little oil spills sometimes. Some show more pink and peach tones, while others are gray-bluish colored. I can't get enough of them!!!!!!

Joe Novak and Rob Stevens and Lee Abbott are three people I can think of off the top of my head, that are working with dilute.

wendhend has a ghost for sale that looks like a dilute. I can't remember who has them, but someone has dilute hypo blood motleys(sweet purpley looking thing). Search the forum, I'm sure you'll find more info.

I have a male hypo blue dilute motley het amel and a blue dilute motley female. They bred this year first time for the female and she had a very small clutch and only a few servived. Last year I bred the same male to an amel het anery female and got normals, amels, anerys, and snows I kept back some females so hopefully Ill have some amel and snow dilutes in a couple of years. I really like the color that the adults take cant wait to see a dilute caramel and dilute lavender.

I've seen hatchling dilute "normals", dilute caramels and a dilute pewter (or was it "just" a dilute charcoal ?) besides the usual anery combo morphs with dilute. Unfortunately, my male this year either didn't fertilize the eggs or the clutches went bad. I had some nice hets planned, but it all went down the tube (and I was really looking forward to that normal het dilute anery lavender motley clutch too). But considering he was a young virgin male, I'm hoping for much better results next year.

I work with the dilute gene but that's not gonna help you I guess... next year I'll bred amel het dilute anery motley x normal het dilute snow motley! Have to think about what will be the next project for my blue motley male. Perhaps pair him up with my hypo lav if she is ready :)

I just bought a Dilute Amel from Sean at VMS. I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of what they look like as adults? Sean said they get a saturated red which seems contrary to what one sees in the babies. I've only seen aneries and anery bloods so I'm at a loss as to what this little guy will look like.
He's pretty interesting looking right now though!
This is the photo from the site.

Here ( Pic. 1 ) is a Dilute Anery Bloodred that has been proven HET Charcoal this year, by way of breeding her ( Pic. 2 ) to a Sunkissed Charcoal...
She is also suspected homo Motley, which still needs to be proven out.

This girl came from Rob as well.

KILLER PROJECT! Very nice Walter, I'm jealous!

Thanks.
Other than suspected homo Motely, she was suspected to also be homo Charcoal, so I thought what better to use to test her for Charcoal, than a SUNKISSED Chacoal...:shrugs:

Wonder what a Sunkissed Dilute Pewter will look like?...:uhoh:

I did get Charcoals and Normals, which proved her to be only HET. Now I need to test her for the Motley trait.

So far she is a, Dilute Anery Bloodred 100% het Charcoal
BTW, I'm gonna get that pic. for ya you requested so long ago. Again, sorry about forgetting..:eek1:

I currently have a dilute anery motley female from Susquehanna Ectotherms, and im working on paying for a dilute hypo motley bloodred.

Ive seen dilute in a variety of genes and i cant wait to see it mixed around some more.

Wow! That female is beautiful!

Fabulous animals for sure but thus far everything I've seen are in the Anery/Charcoal arena. I would really love to see what Dilute does with other color morphs. If the gene enhances the red factor in an animal like Sean suggests it would be fun to see it used in something like Lava. I believe Alain produced a Dilute SK this year. He was showing it around at the Tinley Show. It will be interesting to see what it looks like as it matures.

Here is a nice Dilute Motley Pewter from Rob and Louise at Bayou Reptiles. The other one I have is much nicer but of course she is in shed at the moment. Rob said he should have some Dilute Amel Stripes next year. I can't wait!

dilute amel

ahhhh...so you're the one who bought the little dilute amel!! was checking that one out myself...i chose to make my truck payment this go 'round. maybe next time eh? LOL enjoy your one....sean Has some Killer animals...Nice & healthy...good eaters as well...(i have 3 from sean...phantom,Ultramel Charcoal,& a Butter). Planning on getting either the pewter or a Hypo Bloodred next.

I am also working with the dilute gene.

Over here in the Netherlands, I only know of 3 or 4 people that have this gene, so it is not that 'populair'.

In 2009 I bred a amel dilute (from dilute anery motley het. amel x amel het. dilute anery motey). As a baby you see almost nothing, only they are slighty pinker. When he was a year old you could see it better.

This year a bred some dilute snow motleys (from dilute anery motley het. amel x same).

In 2011 I want to start some projects to make nice het's. I am a big caramel fanatic, so that is my first goal. But also bloodred would be nice :)
