DAYTONA 2011!!!

UTH, I snore a little...can you handle that? Me, Darcy and Taylor shared a queen bed last year. 2 people will be nice and comfy!

DYK, I can handle snoring, I'm usually a heavy sleeper. And I can give some back, I tend to be a heavy breather when sleeping.

Are there two beds in the room? Are the rooms clean? That would be a lot easier on my wallet and since I'm not planning on renting a car while I'm down there it would be nice to be within walking distance of the beach and the expo.

The room has ranged from $57-69/night, which, for being on the beach isn't bad. I like being within walking distance of the expo as I can come and go as I please and not have to worry about paying for parking multiple times (which I hate anyway). The hotel isn't the best and gets mixed reviews, but all I need is a bed, a TV and a bathroom to be satisfied.

If I recall, the dinner costs around $18/person. And don't forget to bring enough money for the raffle!

The Homewood Suites - the one where I get the block of rooms for us - will have standard king suites for $79 (one king bed in the living area with full kitchen), one bedroom king suites for $89 (one king bed in a bedroom separate from the living room with a full kitchen), two queen bed standard suite for $129 and a two bedroom suite for $159.

I think we did $20 per person for dinner last year. Will have to see if Carol wants to run the raffle for that one again for us to "prepay" dinner.

Anyone who wants a room - I will need your first and last name, address, phone number and credit card to guarantee. Nothing is charged to the card at this time and you can cancel up to 6pm the day before with no penalty. If you are not comfortable sending that info here via PM - I can give you my personal email or phone number to contact me.

The standard king suite would be perfect for me and my daughter! Do you happen to know if the hotel has a shuttle that runs to and from Orlando airport? I will not be able to swing a rental car and airfare is cheaper to Orlando.

They do not have a shuttle from Orlando. Hoping Robbie can get the days off so maybe he can help out with that again this year.

I have a large truck. Seats five. Planning on being there friday night thur sunday morning. I can help shuttle.

Or heck we could go redneck and throw everyone in the back. Bet it could seat 6-8 more. Lol

I can honestly say that would not be the first time I have rode in the back of a pick up truck......Oh man did I just make myself look like a redneck?:rofl:

I want to go so bad. I won't have a clue if I can afford it until last minute though. I'll keep my fingers crossed that work gives me a raise.

What are the dates for Daytona (I'm too lazy to go look it up elsewhere)
I guess it would be a bit of a drive- but SNAKES!!
