Daytona Raffle Donations

Bumping this since we are getting close to Daytona time now!
If anyone has anything they need to send if they are not attending let me know and I can get you my address to send to me and I will take anything I receive with me to the show.
Also - if you know anyone else - even outside the forums who would like to donate please feel free to collect anything you can or put them in touch with me for info.

We are very very short of where we were this time last year and I fear we are not going to raise nearly what we have in the past. I know a lot has to do with our ever crappy economy, but I think since we have fewer returning people this year that is also putting a dent in our donations.
 
Do you want us to ship to you or should we just send photos and then ship directly to the people who win? This way the snakes are shipped only once and not twice for people that will have to ship them home from Daytona?

Last year I left that up to the individuals donating. Some sent snakes, some sent gift certificates in general or gift certificates for a specific snake(s).
 
What does everyone think about doing a 50/50 raffle at Daytona? Maybe opening it up to people who can't attend as well somehow?
 
For those who are unfamiliar, a 50/50 raffle sells as many raffle tickets as possible and when a winner is drawn, the winner gets half the money and the other half goes to the charity.
 
The local BMX track sometimes has 50/50 raffles and they have been fairly successful in raising money. It is a good idea because you really don't need anything to do it other than tickets.

I think the 50/50 would be a good idea, but I also think the reason our normal raffle has been so popular is it gives a LOT of people a chance to win something.

I agree... but I am in either way.

I have a 2 pairs of ASF's, a pair of rats, and a pair of snakes.....

Ya I was thinking to suppliment the regular raffle not replace it, unless you think it will take away from the regular one.
 
I just need to get some cold packs so I can ship in this crazy weather out here. I have one, possibly two donations. Im just hoping I can find a day where the weather isnt in the 110's...

Also if you need FedEx reptile shipping box/s or deli cups or pillow cases or whatever other supplies etc-

I've picked up a few door prizes and have some more yet to come. I still am not sure which snakes I'll be donating.
 
I just bought SIX copies of my favorite snake book ever, Snake Charmer.

And I'm getting a couple of my favorite hatchling scales, too! My Weigh Triton T2 300 Great for weighing mice, too, if you're obsessive like me...
