Curiosity killed the cat, how are your snakes housed?
I have a large homemade rack in the basement, it's not very good. I use it now for brumating snakes. It's not very good for that, either.
I have a small homemade that's making me angry because it's not warm enough. I have a solution on the way.
I have an ARS rack and a freedom breeder, and love them. Haven't found anything comparable.

I forgot to include display cages, in my poll, dratburgers!

Home made custom viv system. Not listed.
And what's the difference between a hobbist rack system and a professional rack system.

Some of mine are in tanks with screen tops, my ATB has an Exo-Terra terrarium, and the rest are in tubs (with a homemade rack on the way).

The design of professional racks is completely different. They are powder coated steel, as opposed to wood or plastic.
I love the heating system on the professional racks, I have 2 6" wide insulated heaters on each level of my 7030, each with their own dual thermostat.
Also, ars and freedoms are stackable, can be taken apart, and are the slickest things ever.

ARS tubs are the slickest ever, I highly recommend the ARS 70 series tubs with the cup holders if you're building your own rack, they ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

I have eight glass vivs, three 66qt x 5 racks, and two Jungle Plastics 24x24 custom cages.

I voted Free Range. You should see it here! There are snakes roaming everywhere! Every door in my house has a 4" round hole in the bottom of them so the snakes can go from room to room unobstructed. They have complete reign. I think I saw a couple of them in the living room the other day drinking my beer and fighting over the remote. :grin01:
Could you imagine? :shrugs:

Not really.
I voted - #2 Homemade rack system or tubs with lids.
I made each and every one of them. However we do have a few glass vivs here and there for display animals.
Jay

I voted #1- glass tanks- but that's because there wasn't an option for free standing tubs... I have 2 of my corns in glass tanks/screen tops and my adult BP and adult corn in standing tubs... (not in a rack)

I would consider my AP (plastic) racks professional racks (and I voted this way) as opposed to hobbyist. They are machine made which provides a consistent, high-quality rack as opposed those that hand cut, build and sell wooden or plastic racks. But that's JMO. :)

I put home made racks because I didn't realize I could vote for more than one, and that's what I have the most of. But also I have some in glass tanks and one rack I actually bought.

This is my homemade viv.
