Is this a cornsnake?

Crazy Dave
So here's the deal. The last expo we did was Daytona in August 2012. So we came home and I put away the unsold cornsnakes, and tossed the boxes of biz cards, lamps, tablecloths & misc supplies in the storage room.

The storage room which has maintained a lovely temperature of around 45 degrees for the last 3 months.

And today, 5 and a half months later, I'm going through the big box of supplies, and find this strange thing, which is not mine, and have no clue where the heck it came from.

Dave, I believe that is most likely a corn hybrid.

But in all seriousness this isn't the first time I've heard of mystery animals making their way home from an expo. Same thing happened to some folks on the frilled forum, she got home and started opening the bags and found a frilled in one along with the animal she bought. Surprise!!

Going to give it a shallow bath in 80 degree water after it warms up for an hour or so. Will pick up some bugs & happy sand for it this weekend. The first expo we did, we won a spot next to Cricket Man. We had those noisy bugs in the house for a few months.

Believe it or not this happens a lot! I do about 30 shows a year and vendors lose critters at almost every show. KNOCK WOOD, this has never happened to me but I have been on the receiving end.
I came home from the Indie Expo a couple of year's ago with a surprise Rosehair Tarantula in my setup box. I steam clean all my table clothes after every show. Luck for her I shake them out first. She was happily nestled in the fabric snoozing. No one claimed her, so I still have her to this day.
Your find is a much nicer than mine. I'd have been thrilled with that find.

Terri

Yeah, that's the main reason we stopped doing shows that allowed venomous a while back. I saw how some of those people "secured" their animals.

Okay, my kid the leo expert says "All the big breeders keep the adults on sand, never babies." (I call her a kid but she's 30...)

She says she prefers tile because it's easy to clean and she is afraid of bacteria and hot spots in the sand.

Nanci, I'll put her on paper towels for now. Will look around for a good home for her. Her? I'm clueless. Sweet personality though. Seems to prefer to lick water off her face rather then actually drink from a bowl.

Terri, guess I'd better get a steam cleaner. When I looked around online for table cloths (drapes), I found some on eBay, and thought $20 for 2 sounded like a good deal, with free shipping, but when they got here, there were 12 of them. So there's some for backup. Guess I should get a steamer cleaner thing. They get kinda funny after a couple of trips through the dryer. Might be a good idea to set some tape and bottle traps under the table at the next expo. Though that might be a bit messy for a tarantula

Rich, good point, might be a good idea for me to stay away from the venomous shows too. Not sure I have the attention span for a hitch hiker of that magnitude.
Thanks for sharing

I would have died of a heart attack i am positive!!! The only animal i am just terrified of are spiders and i have no idea why. I have never been bit or anything i just freak out if i even feel a web!:-offtopic sorry!

Dave, I dont think its a corn snake. I am sorry but it must be of hybrid origins. I see many differences between that guy and "pure" corn snakes:D

That's awesome Dave!!! Congrats on the little hitchhiker!

Next year I'm not leaving dons side! ; )

Here little palmetto.... Hide over here! Hehehe

I had a WT kid try to hide in my cooler at the Cincy show. Ain't nobody got time for that!
