My Candy Cane has Freckles...!! ;)

I love this little girl.. She is a candy cane het cinder that I got from Carol awhile back.. She had a few tiny black freckles when I got her, but they have increased a tiny bit since then.. I think its crazy and it goes against her genetic makeup to have black anywhere on her. I love it though and can only hope and pray that it comes through in some of her babies and can at the least be a line bred trait.. That's what I wish anyway ;)

Its mostly on her face but there is a small amount elsewhere on her body, including some on her belly where a check would be..

Any thoughts on this from anyone else here?

My thoughts? Is that she's beautiful! Lol sorry I don't know what the black spots are but I love her color!

Nice pics and a beautiful snake. Freckles only add to it!!!

What kind of cam are you using and how big is she?

Interesting, I'll have to take a look at mine. Can't wait to see how she progresses.

I wanna see :)

Will those spots go away when she sheds?

It almost looks as though they are on the surface.

Nope!! She has had black spots since she was tiny.. She has gotten more as she has gotten older, although not a lot..

Nice pics and a beautiful snake. Freckles only add to it!!!

Using a Fuji Finepix s700... I need to find my scale so I can weigh her..

She looks like a Koi fish! Very pretty. I love it!

HAHA you are right... We have koi for sale at my job and she does resemble them :) Maybe I will name her Koi, but then again that is my moms cats name.. I need to find a perfect name for her and all my snakes for that matter.. I am too indecisive and never can decide on names..

That could very possibly be a real paradox. If it is, then you have a fairly rare and valuable snake!

OMG I hope so.. Fingers crossed.. I really hope it carries through into her young.. Would be so cool to have a black speckled candy cane..

She's really pretty! You've got real camera skills, too. Paradox amels and snows are a real genetic puzzle, but yours is oh-so-pretty!

Beautiful paradox! I think Koi is a nice name for her as well..

Or maybe just Paradox. Perhaps to be more original you could think of something that is a paradox. Escher perhaps, because so much of M.C. Escher's art is paradoxical. Even though "Escher" seems more like a boy's name, I think it would fit her beautifully.

Thanks for the name ideas :) I will have to think and think.. I like the koi names idea too but sanke is the way everyone mistypes snake.. ;) Escher is a good idea too.. It would be easier if I just came up with some sorta theme for all of my snakes lol...

She looks like a Koi fish!...

I thought the same thing...

I do love a snake that makes me come back to the thread just to look at the same pic; she sure is shweet :*)

There hasn't ever been a Paradox X Paradox breeding done (at least that I've heard of); for obvious reasons lol...It seems like such a "fluke" as it is...but...There are a few others out there, and sure would be neat to "cross that T"...
