What kind of snake is this?

I was personally accused of extortion back at the time by yourself, over an incident which I was not allowed to reasonably explain and was not given a shred of "benefit of doubt"(heck, it wasn't that dissimilar and I was even a bit more within my right as a contributing member). I was even persecuted in a farewell thread I opened, that mentioned -nothing- of the reason why I was leaving.

Oh really? http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=105513

Actually I had completely forgotten about this till you brought it up. But obviously it is still festering within you for you to bring it up now and compare your situation with that of "lavender's".

Did you get banned at that time? If not, how was it that you were "not allowed to reasonably explain" the situation? And what is that "benefit of doubt" that you expected but did not receive?

Seriously? You want to take another potshot at me now thinking maybe you'll have better luck this time around? (I think I feel another "fella" moment coming up in the near future.)

Rich, since this is your website, wouldn't it be better to be a leader and proactively solve issues, instead of calling people out and saying "If you don't like it, then leave". Seems like the goal of a forum is to generate an online community, and that hampers that. It is your website, and you get to make the rules no doubt. Just going off of my experience as an inside/underground contributor for Pinkbike.com, a mountain bike forum with over 200,000 members, not 16,000 like CS.com.

I think all Koko wanted was someone to hear him out, and not to be dismissed so quickly.

Those are my thoughts, agree with me or don't, I don't really care.

No I did not mean it in a bad way I like KoKo. but at the risk of making people mad, if you have anything to say to/about Rich,The mods, or another member that is off topic of this thread please dont do so here.

Ryan, I'm afraid this thread is already derailed with no hope of calling it back!

How's the little king?

Well on the same note yet a different form, It ate a f/t pinkie about an hour ago!

I have a wild caught cali king. She ate great for me on f/t peach fuzzies. Then when she was able to go up to fuzzies she would not eat any white ones. I had to assume this was just because it wasn't something that she would normally find in the wild. So I kept feeding her the dark ones but that became difficult so I fed her live of a white one once and since then she eat likes a champ no matter the color. I can only get her to eat in her viv so she kind of throws off my feeding and cleaning grove but thats ok we adjusted.

So there is my experience just in case you run into a similar problem.

I was wondering how the heck IDing a snake could take 10 pages...

Ha ha Thats originally why I opened.

They do tend to like whatever they are used to eating. But they are usually easily fooled, or trained, to eat whatever they need to be eating (assuming it is within the realm of their natural diet, although sometimes you could train them to eat weird things, too, by scenting or other tricks.)

He was not just dismissed, he was corrected with some FACTS. HE brought this up here, not me. He uncovered something that has obviously been festering inside him and decided to let it loose HERE, not me. He has inferred claims of an injustice done to him that I felt needed to be rebutted with evidence to the contrary.

This is my home. If someone walks in and slaps me in the face, throwing down the gauntlet and daring me to do something about it, I should simply turn the other cheek "proactively"? For what purpose? To accept such abuse merely in the hopes they will stay a member here? Yeah, THAT's going to happen..... ;)

And if he wishes to take over lavender's spot of being here just to cause contention and strife with his accusations, well, that certainly will be dealt with. If you want to join him in this, then by all means knock yourself out. Literally....

This is what I am saying isn't helpful to anyone. Funny how adults don't act like adults sometimes.

I wasn't defending anyone. Just trying to explain. Since I do have some forum experience, I thought you might listen (200,000 vs. 16,000....) but apparently listening to others isn't your forte.

Now I am done. You'd think the creator would keep things on topic and avoid telling others to knock themselves out. You learn something new every day.

I still am sticking to Lampropeltis Getula Goini but other options can be as valid.

Goini is nearly impossible unless it was an escaped pet. Goine range is hundreds of miles from where that snake was caught, plus it looks nothing like a goini.

My thoughts as well. Goini come from the panhandle of Florida. I used to breed quite a few back in the '90s. Although some look "sort of" like the one in the photo, they have a somewhat different look; even the intergrades. As adults, goini will lighten quite a bit, and will have quite a lot of speckling. But I expect this one will darken quite a bit and will probably look much different than goini as an adult.
