my snake has been shedding at approximate intervals of once every month for the last 4 months or so, but to this date she hasn't shed in over 2 months... does anybody have any info on this? is this a normal behavior? (is it a normal shedding interval?) and is there anything i should be worrying...

I've noticed a few little white spots on the pinkies that i bought from the port credit pet store... i bought 25 live, fed 2 live to my snake, and i froze the rest (the white spots were on the pinkies after they had been frozen). does anybody know what they could be? the spots are small but...

do most people avoid brumating their hatchlings? should i wait until the snake's second year to let it hibernate? when is a good time to start?

if necessary, is it alright to breed siblings together, or parents with offspring (when the breeding req's have been met..2 yrs, 300 grams, 3 feet), or is that kind of thing totally avoided?

lets see... she just turned 2 months old today (sept 6, 04) and shes 1.5 feet/45cm/18inches in length i think shes big for her age? because ive heard people say that they have snakes over a year old that are smaller than her :shrugs: hmmm???

would i be able to raise a male and female of similar size and age (less than half a year) together in the same viv? its a 40 gal, decent size...i also have an 80 gal if a 40 wouldnt be enough...im planning on breeding them in the future but i was wondering if until then i would be able to keep...

if you cant get a breeding pair the exact same age and length/weight, do you suggest having a larger male or female?

i got my snake from a breeder who had a clutch of babies containing normals and amels (mine was one of the normals)...meaning no matter what i breed my normal with...all that i can get from that clutch is either normals or amels? this whole genetics thing can be a little confusing :shrugs:

im not too sure if my girls a okeetee or normal...she has brownish saddles on her back, and theyre bordered with black...shes had orange on her back since she was born and shes getting more...2 months old ive seen "normals" with their saddles bordered by black as well, though so how can you...

How much $ will you spend preparing a breeder tank, that has say a 1:5 ratio (male:female) or similar? Will it end up saving you money in pinkies? How often do you need to clean the tank? How much does it cost to maintain the tank (shavings + food)? I really appreciate any input i can get...
